Vince Zampella, Has Died in an LA Car Crash
Vince Zampella, who helped create the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in the state of California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The influential industry figure lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
