Passionate supporters of the pop star are demanding that a person who leaped a fence and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared clip depicts the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile includes recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," stated an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Past Trauma

Many fans criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented another message on Instagram.

A number of fans also criticised event staff at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Hundreds of Singapore fans had waited to meet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of fans had congregated in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a two-film interpretation of the well-known Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected friendship between two very different witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, securing several for best costume and production design.
