It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a squad that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It is hard for their hitters to maintain a record if not afforded the opportunity.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia conceding 330 was captain Alyssa Healy being given an opportunity to produce her most recent brilliance.

Then best known as the teenage relative of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after her country couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has seen it all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her first appearance and seven global championships have resulted from 10 efforts across formats.

The tough gloveman was present as well in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India briefly halted the run of success.

That loss "pushed us to rethink our standards," Healy stated recently.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the title decider and was declared player of the series. She guaranteed her country would not fall short again.

Whether this latest epic knock topped that previous effort is debatable.

Some will argue the argument supporting final game tension. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was far harder to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this performance followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in training, it has been a frustrating experience because it seemed I lacked timing whatsoever," said Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your competitive instincts activate and you completely engage with the competition."

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in taking over from iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's motivation.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and from that point Healy was in motion.

"The possibility to go out there and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun that way, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

By the time she was dismissed the team required another 66 at one run per ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the confidence to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, should it happen, we believe we can do it."

Those words will be the final thing competing nations at this tournament need to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this victory following success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she regretted not playing with the discomfort.

Yet even as she later admitted those physical issues have delayed consideration of ending her career, this tournament is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as skipper.

Victory in India would take her to the summit of her last major obstacle.
